About

Cosmic Design Studio creates illustrated gifts and art for people who don’t quite fit the mould and don’t want to. It’s a space for symbolism, humour, soft defiance and small reminders that you’re allowed to do things your own way. My work is playful, sometimes sarcastic, occasionally mystical and always intentional.

About me

I’m Cos, a designer, illustrator & professional problem-solver. By day, I work in product design solving complex problems inside structured systems. Strategy, research, process, all of that.

Cosmic is the other side of my brain.

It’s where I let instinct lead. Where I draw the things that make me laugh and I want to bring into the world. I let my mind and creativity wonder unapologetically and celebrate creating for the sake of it.

I’ve spent over a decade in professional design roles. I care deeply about clarity, structure and intention. But I also care about instinct, play and making work that feels personal.

Why I Started Cosmic

I didn’t start this to build a perfectly curated brand. I started it because I needed a space to create without overthinking it.

Over time, it became more deliberate.

A lot of the work circles around the same idea: you’re not waiting for fate to pick you. You get to shape your direction. You get to change your mind, walk away, try again.

The symbols might look mystical. The humour might look light. But underneath it all, it’s about agency.

My journey so far

I moved from Romania over 14 years ago to study and build a life in the UK. Starting over in a new country teaches you very quickly that nothing is fixed.

You rebuild. You adapt. You choose again.

That experience sits quietly underneath everything I make. Identity isn’t something you inherit fully formed. It’s something you build through decisions, risk and persistence.

Where Cosmic is going

Cosmic is growing beyond prints and stickers.

There are new products in development, including enamel pins, bookmarks inspired by booktok and romantasy culture, and more designs that lean into the goth, playful and slightly chaotic energy that runs through the brand.

Alongside physical products, I’m also exploring how to share what I’ve learned from over ten years in corporate design.

I’ve built and led teams. I’ve worked inside public systems. I’ve navigated hiring, strategy, difficult decisions and growth.

I want Cosmic to become a space where creative business owners and designers can learn from that experience in a way that feels practical and honest, not corporate and intimidating.

It won’t just be about things you can buy. It will also be about ideas you can use.
